FAQs.

  • Editorial style photography relies on the photographer, posing the subject and ‘creating’ the desired image.

    Documentary style photography has the photographer as an observer of the moment, and letting the moments play out without interference.

    I shoot both editorial and documentary style depending on the demands of the client. A blend of both posed photos and in-the-moment photos will ultimately give you the best representation of your day.

  • You’re my favourite person shoot because seeing your reaction to how beautiful and stunning (or handsome) you look is worth it’s weight in gold.

    My approach is gentle direction meaning I give you some guidance and from there you will eventually find your flow.

  • I aim to have your photos ready for you to enjoy within 14 days of the shoot.

    This time may vary during peak periods, but I’m usually pretty good.

    You will be provided a preview album (up to 10 edited photos) by the next morning.

  • I’m a firm believer in less is more, and part of delivering exceptional service is to hand select the best representation of each moment, otherwise it all becomes meaningless doesn’t it?

    There are candids and can-don’ts, so I will pick the best of the bunch and your final delivery will be my summation of my work.

    Your images will be delivered via a download link, and categorised for your convenience.

    If you want all your photos, this is available upon request at no extra charge.

  • You hire me for several reasons.

    2. Professional grade equipment. While your phone is great for those everyday moments, special moments require special equipment paired with a unique set of skills.

  • Yes I do - and I love it!

    35mm is something I’ve introduced recently so it can be added to your package if you so wish.

  • Unfortunately, I do not offer any videography services as I primarily focus on one discipline and to do that to the best of my ability requires my full effort.

    I do have some trusted videographers that I’ve worked alongside that I’d be happy to recommend.

  • Absolutely! You and me on a holiday - sounds like a fun time.

    I am available to work interstate and overseas! I require all travel and accomodation expenses to be covered.

    This is all subject to my availability.

T&Cs.

1. Booking and Payment Terms

  • Deposit: A 30% is required upon booking to secure services of HEIRLOOM.

    Deposit is non-refundable if client cancels x-days before shoot date:

    • 14-days for Weddings.

    • 5-days for Engagements, Elopements, and Pre-Wedding events.

    • 3-days for Family Events and Functions.

  • Payment: Remaining account balance to be paid in full before final photos are sent out.

  • Product: Prices include delivery of digital photographic media (in .jpg format) only.

    • The amount of photos is up to the discretion of HEIRLOOM.

    • Portrait photos are in accordance to the package deal.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: Bank transfer and Cash accepted.

    Currency is listed in $AUD.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  • Client-Initiated Cancellation: Cancellations (x+1) days prior to the shoot date, are eligible for a refund of the deposited amount.

    • Cancellations (x-1) days and below, incur a forfeit of initial deposit.

    • ‘x’ refers to the particular number of days specified, dependent on project type.

  • Rescheduling: Upon discussion, sessions can be rescheduled subject to availability.

  • Photographer-Initiated Cancellation: If HEIRLOOM. requires a cancellation due to an unforeseen circumstance, the initial deposit will be refunded and alternative photographer will be found if possible.

3. Copyright and Usage Rights

  • Ownership of Images: All photos taken by HEIRLOOM. are the property of HEIRLOOM. and are subject to copyright laws.

  • Client Usage: Clients of HEIRLOOM. may use their photos to their discretion.

  • Permission to Use Images: HEIRLOOM. reserves the right to use photos for promotional purposes, ie. portfolio, website, social media, and related services.

4. Delivery of Photos

  • Delivery Timeline: HEIRLOOM. aims to have client photos sent within 14 days from the shoot date.

    Times may vary during peak seasons. If delay is expected it will be communicated with the client.

  • Format of Delivery: Photos will be sent via a transfer link.

  • Editing: All photos are coloured to HEIRLOOM. signature style in-camera. The image taken is the final image, no re-colouring is possible.

  • 35mm Film: Analog photographs are sent off to be developed, timeframe of delivery may vary.

5. Event Day Conduct

  • Workable Hours: Shoot times will be agreed upon with the client prior to the shoot date.

    • Pricing of service will be in accordance to the agreed upon time.

    • HEIRLOOM. will arrive at least 15-minutes prior to the shoot time.

      • Please note this is dependant on the scale of the job.

  • Rest: For shoots longer than 6 hours, HEIRLOOM. will require a 30 minute break (paid, included in pricing).

    • Breaks may be taken as one single block or spread in smaller blocks throughout the event.

6. Additional Fees

  • Travel and Accommodation: Travel and Accomodation costs may be applicable and will be agreed upon at the time of booking.

  • Travel cost is calculated in the invoice.

  • Extra Hours: Jobs are charged on hourly basis, with the exception of weddings which have a pricing tier.

    • Base rate will be charged for every additional hour(s) required.

7. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes and Disagreements: Disputes will be firstly negotiated between the client and HEIRLOOM.

  • If a resolution cannot be reached, legal action may be taken.

8. Entire Agreement

  • Employing the services of Heirloom, means that the Client has agreed to all above terms of service.

  • All terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between HEIRLOOM. and the client, superseding prior agreements.
