I’m Anthony. If I had to give you one-line about myself and what I do it would be this:
“I document stories that get better as time moves on.”
My Story.
I started off with dreams of being on the big screen. I have a deep love for the art of cinema and everything that goes into making a motion picture. I spent some good years in Drama school and naturally picked up a camera to complement my studies. Like most aspiring actors, I worked odd-jobs while waiting for the phone to ring and my big break to arrive (still waiting btw).
In the interim, I thought I’d use my cameras for the greater good and document stories about people on the happiest day of their lives.
Weddings inspired by Cinema.
As an actor, the wide breadth of human emotion fascinates me and I absolutely love capturing people who are present in the moment and living out their core memories. ‘Candids’ , are my favourite kind of photos: to me, they represent the honesty of that particular snapshot in time; a moment experienced, lived, and now immortalised.
My Aesthetic.
My photos have a much softer and diffused look. I love light blooms and glares which give my photographs their distinctive, film-like appearance.
This is my signature aesthetic, a love-letter to the cinematic art form, with YOU as the main character.
I like to think of myself as a dragon-fly on the wall…with a camera… capturing frames of your life… in the moments that matter most.
What sets my work apart.
Choosing the right photographer for your day is an important decision. Aside from your better half.. your photographer is going be the other person you spend the most time with.
Finding someone whose approach and personality genuinely aligns with you matters.
I pride myself on my service-first approach. Your story with me starts many months before you get to say “I do.” Together, we prepare as much as we can so that on the day of the wedding we can be off-book and enjoy the moments as they come.
My main objective on the day is simple: to make sure you’re having a good time because that’s the secret to the magical moments.
I’m not there chasing a shot, I’m there to gently guide moments as I see them and then the ‘shot’ naturally transpires.
My Philosophy.
I don’t believe in taking the perfect picture, I believe in capturing the perfect moment.
A perfect moment is realised years later as you experience an image again and remember the sights, smells, sounds & feel of that particular slice of time.
